How long the zoom takes to travel from one photo into the next. Lower is faster.

Hidden photo detail gradually emerges as you zoom.

Photo Placement

Where each next photo hides inside the one before it.

Auto place Auto place looks for

Best match: the spot whose colors and texture fit the next photo best. Shimmer: prefers reflections, glare, ripples and other shifting light where the photo's colors still fit; photos disappear best there.

Finds the spot whose colors and texture best match the next photo. Find Best Spots (also part of Auto Tune) renders the strongest few spots for every join and keeps the one that blends in best; it takes a few seconds per photo.

Match by

Guides Auto place and Auto Sort. Try lighting for skies and shadows, or texture for foliage and architecture.

Start size

How big the next photo is when the zoom begins, from 1% to 34%. Smaller hides it better and zooms deeper.

Spot across Spot down

Fixed spot used for every photo when Auto place is off. Place Manually overrides one join at a time.

Blending

How the next photo melts into its surroundings.

Smooth guard

Keeps edges soft and grain low so nothing pops.

Color match

How much the next photo takes on the surrounding light and color while it is small.

Color area

How wide an area of the surroundings that color match looks at.

Edge softness

How wide the fade is between the two photos.

Organic edge

How much the next photo grows out of areas that already match, instead of spreading evenly from its middle, and how much its edge follows shapes in the pictures instead of a square.

Blend Style

Photo Blend only

Edge

How the next photo's edge continues into the scene while it forms. Mirror band + fractal: an exact mirror right at the edge, then irregular, branching shapes that melt into its colors. Fractal: those shapes all the way from the edge. Mirror: a plain reflection of the photo, as in earlier versions.

Cinematic reveal

Shows the next photo later, with a slower fade in.

Pixel reveal

How the next photo forms. 0 melts it in softly; higher builds it from finer, crisper pixel specks, up to a bold pixel dissolve.

Film grain

Adds grain over the join.

Kaleidoscope

Mirrors the next photo into folds while it is small.

Fold angle

Rotates the kaleidoscope folds.
